This perfume is inspired by the Tiger Reserve near my hometown in India.

We were on a jungle safari in a tiger reserve near my hometown of Nagpur in Central India when we heard the deep roar of a tigress. But would we see her? Such things depend on one’s stars. The day was hot and dry; brown leaves covered the forest floor. Suddenly, our jeep stopped. And there she was, on the road, sitting like a house cat. She turned and looked at us. I’ve never been so alive.

Spicy, earthy, floral - so nostalgic!

I recently ordered the Discovery Set of all of Anjali's 9 perfumes, and the two that I didn't really expect to enjoy (Himalayan Dawn and Tiger Bright) are the two that took me by complete surprise. Tiger Bright is a spicy floral - I love how jasmine forward it is initially, only to melt into something warmer and spicier. The scent is so nostalgic for me - I don't know whether it's the cloves, the nagarmotha, or the turmeric, but it smells just like home (India) in a way that brought me peace every time I caught a whiff of it. I can't smell the tobacco or leather, as this is more floral on my skin than I would've expected it to be, but I actually much prefer it that way.

FAQs:

I embrace both synthetic and natural materials. Blending them gives me more freedom to express my vision and achieve the right balance and harmony. Since I do not use animal-derived materials, synthetics allow me to create faithful re-constitutions to achieve the desired effect without harming animal life.

Yes, all my perfumes are vegan. I do not use animal-derived materials in my perfumes. Musk, ambergris, civet, castoreum, honey, hyraceum, and beeswax were once considered precious and indispensable in perfumery. Fortunately, with advances in science and technology, they can now be synthesized in a lab. I exclusively use these synthetically reconstituted mixtures in my perfumes to achieve the desired effect.

Like all fragrances, my perfumes contain allergens. I list the IFRA-referenced allergens in all my perfumes.

In 2022, the U.S. FDA passed a law, abbreviated as MoCRA, which mandates that all perfumes sold in the U.S. must list fragrance allergens on their product labels. I use the European standard called IFRA as my basis to calculate the allergens in my perfumes.

Please do test on paper before applying the perfume to your skin. I have listed some additional safety guidelines in the Terms of Service on this website as well.

Not yet! I’m touched and delighted when I get asked this question. However, my artisanal endeavor is still quite small, and international shipping is complex. For the time being, I plan to ship only within the United States.
