This is one of my faves from Anjali. It’s fresh but has enough woodiness for cooler weather too. It’s such a well blended fun fragrance and I’m so happy to have it in mycollection!
A beautiful soft and fresh fragrance that leaves a most amazing subtle trail that makes people compliment and what are you wearing? Truly in love with this creation!
Interesting and beautiful fragrance. Very unique but in a wearable way.
I purchased a 10ml just to try it out, and I fell in love! I will definitely be getting a full bottle. It's such a beautiful, warm, rich chai! Highly recommend. The packaging and presentation was beautiful as well.
Ethereal scent. Sweet yet not totally gourmand. Something here is just magical.
(Also fantastic customer service! My bottle came leaking, no doubt bc of USPS & their handling, but Anjali immediately responded in the sweetest way and shipped a replacement out. Very kind and appreciated!).
I have not even tested anything yet. The beautiful smell coming from the box as I open it already won be over! The samples come in a cloth bag and there is a story card to accompany each scent and the test trips. This is such a beautiful presentation. The hard part will be figuring out what full bottle to wear! Im blown away!
Beautiful scents with clear purpose and execution. She shows her mastery of the materials. Truly evocative. I loved Monsoon Madness from my sample set.
This is the peach fragrance of my dreams. The combination of peach plus florals is well balanced and the powdery orris made me think of peach fuzz.
Loved all the perfumes in this, especially Jaya and Chai!! And I loved the little cards for each sample with the notes and artwork :)
The Anjali perfume samples came wrapped in a nice dust bag embossed with the company name on the front. The scents I received were Iconic Island-very beautiful rose fragrance that feels bottle worthy. Chai Chai Chai-a nice black tea and milk forward fragrance, the spices play gently in the back. This is a delicate fragrance. The third perfume I received is Classic Kaapi-which is meant to be a coffee fragrance. The first spritz is black coffee. Then the leather, suede, and frankincense take over, and unfortunately for me, it turned into an acrid plastic/rubber tire smell.
My favorite is Iconic Island.
I’ve been smelling a lot of chai scents lately, but this one actually made me want a cup of chai! The most elevated, realistic chai I’ve smelled. 10/10 in definitely getting the full size soon!
The contents of my coffee cup have long been consumed, yet I lift it to my nose and I can still smell what remains behind: perfectly roasted coffee beans, with the lightest touch of sugar to cut any bitterness. Was my family kitchen secretly a portal to a coffee stall on the streets in South India? I want to reach through the bottom of my cup and pour out into India on the other end. This is both a fragrance and a portal.
I sprayed a scent strip two days, and I am compelled to write about Chai Chai Chai from the end to the beginning. The sugar, tonka bean, and musk create the sweetest decline from the point of origin. An even sweeter coolness pulls you out of the lasting softness into an opening of a delicate speculoos cookie that was made for dunking into warming spices. The overall fragrance is sweet without being jejune or cloying, and its longevity is perfect for a favorite thick sweater to pull over your face and hair before taking a long walk in the autumn air.
Love both discovery sets I purchased. Now comes the difficult part -- deciding which one I want a full bottle of!
This fragrance is so lovely. Warm, woody and slightly spicy, with a light sweetness from the jasmine. Slightly animalic with a surprising lightness on skin. I'm in love!
Jaya is an absolutely exquisite fragrance! The beautiful spice of the cloves. The sweet, juiciness of the peach is so perfect you can almost taste it. The softness of rose, orris and violet. It’s just absolutely dreamy and I find myself wanting to put more and more and more on just so I never risk losing the aroma. I’m absolutely buying a backup bottle so I never have to be without this fragrance in my life!
This perfume has been one of my go to’s since I got a sample of it. It perfectly captures the vibe of the smell of the ocean as you are swimming in it, the salty air and the feeling of walking on a beach
Best discovery set ever! Each scent is so unique and made with love.
Iconic Island feels like the perfect antidote to today’s blistering 97-degree heat. If I could vanish into the shade of the Pacific Northwest woods, this is what the air would smell like. From the very first spray, it captures that moment of stepping into cool green forest light, lungs filling with crisp, renewing air. The lavender in the opening carries a whisper of coastal salt, mingling beautifully with fresh cut grass, grapefruit, and fir needles. The fir note here is spot-on..like crushing fresh needles in your palm, with that lingering resinous aroma that clings to your skin. In the heart, rose and juniper add a gentle sweetness (Anjali’s use of rose is always such a treat), softening the ever-present fir with a delicate, almost dewy lift. As it dries down, the woods deepen but stay airy. Atlas cedar, oakmoss, and musk draped in a soft floral breeze. It’s calming, almost meditative, as if I’d spent the entire day forest bathing, surrounded by wild blooms and warm sunlight filtering through the branches.
Iconic Island is truly a beautiful scent… one that’s earned a spot on my full-bottle list for sure!
This fragrance is pure Oregon coast nostalgia for me. The Pacific Northwest shoreline was my mother’s and grandmother’s favorite place, and since I was little, our trips there especially in spring and summer, have been etched into my memory. Sea Glass takes me right back to those days. I can smell the light, almost sun warmed beachside florals drifting over the salty marine air, mingling with the faint tang of ocean spray. You catch the woodiness of the smooth, worn texture of driftwood, the quiet mossy undertone of the shoreline, and that indefinable freshness that only exists by the sea. Sea glass is beautifully balanced, no single note shouting over the others, just a seamless harmony, like standing on the Oregon coast on a warm day, breathing in the air and feeling that sense of release or openness one can only experience while at the ocean. This makes three out of three Anjali fragrances that have transported me somewhere else entirely, and I’m absolutely here for it. 💙🌊☀️
From the very first spray, Under the Mango Tree whisks me away to a sun-dappled garden, where the air is thick with the scent of green mango skin, tomato leaf, grapefruit, and bergamot. Each note sings on its own, yet they blend into something so refreshing and serene… like sipping an aromatic tonic on a garden terrace that has seen a thousand summers. Just when I think it can’t get more beautiful, a fresh rose begins to bloom. It’s fresh, dreamy, and somehow makes the whole experience feel like I’m being transported.. perhaps to the very place where these ancient, sacred mango trees grow. The way the rose intertwines with the still-present mango is nothing short of magical. Like they were always meant to find each other. This is, without question, the most unique and beautiful mango fragrance I’ve ever encountered. As it settles, the rose lingers and gives way to a quiet base of fir balsam, pine wood, and warm hay. It feels like the wind has picked up just as the sun begins to dip behind the trees. There’s a grounded calm in the base..rooted, steady, and so comforting. Under the Mango Tree leaves me feeling as if I’ve received a gift from the tree itself. The way it offered up its green, sun-warmed fruit to meet that radiant rose felt like an impartation..quiet and powerful. As if this tree gives without asking. And in return, it reminds me of the beauty that often goes unseen, but not unfelt. We sense it. We smell it. And somehow, it changes us.
Under the Mango Tree was a gift to my senses and beyond. My experience is transportive, transformative, soulful, and absolutely unforgettable. I’m in unexpected awe. Truly.
Monsoon Madness has a humid floral musk vibe, like the heat rising off soaked petals. It opens with jasmine and tuberose still on the stem, like they’ve just been drenched in the first rain.. lush, heady, and alive. The rose comes in like a bloom warmed by a storm that’s just passed, still holding the memory of thunder in its petals. Then the iris rolls in like a cool rain drenched veil that settles gently over everything like fresh drops on skin. It’s floral, yes, but there’s something more elemental here.. like the scent of love and mystery carried on wind and thunder. The musk is spellbinding. It doesn’t just sit on the skin it blooms. The warmer my body gets, the deeper and denser it becomes, like a slow dance with the night. There’s a moment when it shifts, and suddenly you’re wrapped in this sultry fog, sensual and magnetic. And that gulkand.. a jammy rose preserve tucked into the drydown, it’s so delicious. Softly sweet, slightly sticky, almost edible. Like tasting rose petals on your lover’s lips. A kiss in the rain. A whisper in the dark. Anjali refers to this fragrance as an aphrodisiac and I couldn’t agree more. Monsoon Madness doesn’t just swell it swoons, is swoon worthy, and I am def swooning.
