A painting of “Nayika”-- a woman in love. Mantra which in Sanskrit means a spell, is inspired by paintings of ‘Nayika’ from the East created in the 1700s in which a woman is shown hurrying in the night to meet her lover in secret. There are dangerous forests in her path. Sometimes the paintings show storms or snakes, but she is so enchanted by love, that she braves them all. Mantra depicts the spell of love.
