Starlight Sesame is a celebration of the festival of 'Sankrant’ in India, which marks the Sun’s transit from Sagittarius to Capricorn. The scent opens with bergamot and narcissus petals. Sesame CO2 is suspended on a pillow of tonka. A jaggery (raw sugar) accord with the glow of labdanum and honey envelopes you with a gentle hug -like a bright sun in the wintery season.

“For me, sesame is synonymous with Sankrant, a joyous festival held each January. It is celebrated with bonfires, with flying kites, and with song and dance. Traditionally, on this day, sweets made with sesame and jaggery (raw sugar) are shared with one and all. Smiles abound. My composition paints a picture of Sesame, a symbol of abundance, warmth, and joy.”

I really can’t say enough good things about this perfumer. I’m so pleased with my entire experience with this fragrance house.

Anjali is very sweet to offer a hand written note with my order. Leaving this compliment feels like a way to respond to that kindness.

I blind bought this 30 mL because everything from Anjali is a really great wear to me. And I have to leave the disclaimer that it’s only been one day, but Starlight Sesame is a gorgeous mature scent that is not overly feminine or masculine. I find it to smell completely inoffensive, interesting, and lovely.

I’ve sampled all but one of her other scents over the last 2 months. She was so kind to send a sample I had not tried before with this order. It’s beautiful too, as always. Truly fantastic work all around. I recommend everyone to try them all. You will find one for you. Or several!

It’s kind of like when you find a musician that releases hit after hit. Like twenty one pilots for me. Just all love round here!
