Under The Mango Tree perfume is inspired by the mango trees from my childhood in India.
In the Indian rural landscape, amidst green farmlands and villages, you will often find a mango tree standing majestically, but quietly. Its presence is unannounced, but unmistakable. Like a meditating saint, the tree is occupied not with what’s above ground, but with veins of water running deep beneath the soil.
Under The Mango Tree perfume captures the fresh green aroma of raw mango skin and my love for this tree.
I was looking to represent the feel of the tree trunk, its deep green leaves, and the feel of the earth as you sit under it. All of these aspects are in the earthy, woody, green, and lightly floral aroma of Violet Leaf Absolute. Blue Chamomile Essential Oil, gives this perfume a slight herbaceous note along with a dry, dusty, hay-like facet.
Lavender Essential Oil gives this perfume diffusion without being too floral. Tomato Natural from Robertet, is a sophisticated accord that captures the raw essence of earth, and wood, which is deep, rich, and green. Grapefruit adds to the brightness. For the base, Fir Balsam, which has a greenish hue, holds all these diverse aromas together. |
